The Cynological organization we are part of is The Latvian Cynological Federation (Latvijas Kinologiska federacija - LKF) and it is the only organization of the relevant profile in Latvia that represents Latvian cynology in the Federation Cynologue Internationale (FCI), the world's largest dog breeders' organization. LKF pedigrees are recognized by more than 86 countries around the world. The Latvian Cynological Federation is the only one in Latvia that performs health checks on dogs (for eye and joint diseases) to prevent the use of animals with hereditary diseases for breeding and to ensure that puppies are healthy. Only dogs registered in the Latvian Cynological Federation can participate in a wide variety of international exhibitions organized by the leading cynological organizations in the world - FCI clubs, the American Kennel Club and the Kennel Club (Great Britain). We set a high standards and our goal is to exceed them and bring the best in the breed. At the dog shows dogs are evaluated by official FCI breed judges that strictly follow official FCI breed standard. They evaluate the dog overall cohehevness and inspect every part of dog's body, evaluate their anatomy - their back and body, chest, neck legs, feet, tail, head and muzzle, their dentition - basically every part of the body. As equaly important - they evaluate their movement and built of the movement. The character of the dog and how much it corosponds the breed.
